My daughter who is now 8 started getting these bumps on her lower right cheek almost a year and a half ago and was told by her doctor that she had molluscum-contagiosum. He street named it as "water warts". My daughter had molluscum once before when she was about 2 years old, and back then we really couldn’t do anything about it because she was so young. My 7 year old son had so many bumps on his legs, and I had no idea what it could’ve been, so I decided to take him to the doctor. The doctor told me that it was “molluscum contagiosum”. I had no idea what that was, so I decided to research it online. In the meantime, the doctor gave me some calamine lotion to stop the itching, this helped, but they were all still there.

I had never heard of molluscum before, but I had heard of warts. When I got a few small bumps on my hand, I assumed they were warts, as they didn’t seem to go away.
